Why AppEx.ai

Most projects slip. Most of it is preventable.

Schedule delays and cost overruns are the norm in design and construction. In our interviews, project teams report losing up to 30% of their time to rework and re-planning, much of it traceable to requirements that aren't settled early, decisions that stay open too long, and risks that surface late.

AppEx.ai is built to prevent those surprises. It draws on a proven process model and 2,000 lessons from real Swiss projects, and it supports the two roles behind every project, each in a different way.

Questions about AppEx.ai

The questions people ask us.

AppEx.ai is a virtual coach for design and construction projects. It acts as an independent expert: it assesses where your project really stands and tells you what to do next to protect your schedule and budget.

AppEx Vision GmbH was co-founded by Chris Marolf (CEO), who has 30 years of experience in AEC knowledge management in Switzerland and Silicon Valley, and Dejan Georgiev (CTO), who has a background in AI, software engineering, and digital product design.

A proprietary process model of how design and construction work actually gets delivered, plus a library of 2,000 lessons learned from real Swiss projects.

Delays and cost overruns are common in construction. In AppEx's interviews, project teams said they lose up to 30% of their time to rework and re-planning. Most of this traces back to three causes: requirements that aren't defined early, decisions left open too long, and risks that are discovered late. AppEx.ai is designed to catch these before they become costly.

It aims to be expert (grounded in a proven method and real project experience), independent (no stake in how project status is reported), instant (an assessment in minutes, not days), and focused on the decisions that determine the project outcome.

There are two roles behind every project: owners who set the direction, and project teams who deliver the work. AppEx treats them as partners and supports each differently.

For example: Is the design on schedule? Which decisions are still pending? Are the HVAC documents ready for the next phase? What risks have been identified, and what corrective actions are recommended?
